Brotherhood Award

Here comes another nomination for an award, this time it is for the Brotherhood Award by Shreya. This new kid on the block has got some serious potential. Let me go through the rules quickly:

1) Thank and link back to the person who nominated you for the award.
2) List the Rules and Display the Brotherhood of the world Award logo to your post and/or blog.
3) Answer the questions set to you and then you may create your set of questions for your nominees.
4) Nominate around ten other bloggers and let them know about the award.

Here is my take on the questions asked:

1) Where would you like to go for a vacation?

Ans.: It is Antarctica 😀

2) You can travel back in time, what year would you choose and why?

Ans: I would like to go back to July 2009, that was the month when I did the biggest mistake of my life. I should have gone back to my room after the class. That is when the letter ‘T’ entered my life.  😀

3) What genre of music do you like?

Ans.: I always have a pre-meditated answer for the genre questions, it is “I never limit myself by genres, I watch/listen anything which appeals to me.” I cover everything from ‘Fear of the Dark’ to ‘Wake me up when September ends’.

4) What are your hobbies?

Ans: Writing, reading, and whiskey is slowly moving up the list.

5) How often do you write?

Ans: Just a bit less than the frequency of my breathe.

6) What do you do when someone is upset?

Ans: I diplomatically make them reveal the cause, and then talk through to comfort.

7) Which one do you prefer – desktop or laptop?

Ans: I have never owned a desktop, portable is the need of my work.

8) Do you believe in magic?

Ans: Not at all.

9) If you could bring one fictional character to life, who would he/she be? Why?

Ans: I would like to be a fire-disgorging dragon, and burn some special people of this world. The list begins with  the ‘Man with a hair in his ear‘.

10) If you could change one thing about you, what would it be?

Ans: I am a big failure when it comes to forgiving illogical people. I just cannot ignore them.

I would like to nominate the following bloggers for this award:

1. A Spirited Diva

2. Valerie Mortan

3. Aquileana

4. Sam

5. Nekaar

6. Koivis

7. Wendy Kate

8. Saadia

Real Neat Blog Award #3

This Thursday has been all about awards. I have been trying to find a balance between my IPTG-Induction experiment and award-acceptance. The good thing is that I have successfully accepted all the awards. I can serve myself an extra peg of whiskey for this achievement. The day began with a triplet award, followed by the nomination for ‘The Creative Blogger Award‘ by one of my most active readers. As I was soaking in the glory, another nomination came from Suganiya. This one is for the ‘Real Neat Blog Award‘. I am thankful to her for this gesture.

The rules for accepting this award are:

1. Put the award logo on your blog.
2. Thank the people who nominated you, linking to their blogs.
3. Answer 7 questions asked by the person who nominated you.
4. Nominate any number of bloggers you like, linking to their blogs.
5. Let them know you nominated them (by commenting on their blog, etc.)

So, here are the questions :

1. Do you like to read books? Why?

Ans: I love reading because it stuffs me up with so much data, that nurtures my writing. It also helps as a stress buster.

2. Tell me the character which would resemble the true you?

Ans: This is pretty tough for me. Not by facial looks, but because of my mental exploits, my juniors named me Chanakya :p

3. The name of your first crush and have you ever told him/her that?

Ans: That person is the Voldemort of my life and thus I avoid taking her name. She is the reason I hate the letter “T“.

4. If you could be one character out of a book, what would that be?

Ans: I would like to be the villain in my own book

5. The little things that put a smile on your face everyday?

Ans: Food, food and food.

6. The happiest thing that has ever happened to you?

Ans: Being born to my parents is the happiest event of my life. Sometimes, it feels like a dream to have such level of freedom.

7. Do you believe in true love? (Did I sound like a corny website there?)

Ans: No, I don’t. It should be easier to find unicorn, or an egg of an Albatross.

I liked the questions asked to me, and that is why I choose to forward the same questions to my nominees:

1. Do you like to read books? Why?
2. Tell me the character which would resemble the true you?
3. The name of your first crush and have you ever told him/her that?
4. If you could be one character out of a book, what would that be?
5. The little things that put a smile on your face everyday?
6. The happiest thing that has ever happened to you?
7. Do you believe in true love?

And I nominate the following bloggers for this award:

1. Crumpled paper cranes

2. Anita

3. Shoma

4. Steffany

5. Rose

6. Mama Pains

Good luck to all of you 🙂
