You say your life has problems
Whose world is free from it?
You have some happiness here
Not everyone has this luxury
They have bigger troubles than yours
Still they smile and show the guile
Compare with the less privileged
The hungry, the tired, the caged.
It is not fear which you observe
It is what your mind creates
This is not what your heart dictates
Fear is the thing which your mind rates
They see that memories weaken
But it has the potential to strengthen
Everything is what you perceive
Forget it and see what you receive

@”You say your life has problems…” – yep, but each problem has – at least – 1 solution… 😉 I refuse and I avoid to complain about life, as it’s boring, vain and useless… our life is based upon choices and decisions that we have to assume… btw, I’m not living in a ‘teddybear land'(LOL!), but I’ve chosen to be cheerful, positive, optimistic… so: cheers, young man! 🙂

@”Everything is what you perceive…” – yes, indeed… 🙂
”We don’t see things as they are, but as WE are…”(Anaïs Nin) – she’s right! 🙂

Quite true. Our minds must be open to what we are meant to receive. Insightful thoughts!

A powerful piece but yet has those delicate moments handled very well. Good one!

I began with an objective of writing a poetry in a week’s time, the impatient ME provided just ten minutes. 😉
Thank you for your words of appreciation.

Wow, amazing poem, a clear and powerful mesage! You captured it wonderfully. Actually all of our problems are inventions of our mind. Before we label it “problem” it is a challenge or simply a step we have to take in order to evolve.

I always wish that I give more time to my poems, but I end up penning them down in about ten minutes. They never satisfy me. I do not know what I wish to achieve through my writing. It is great to know that you liked it, such words of appreciation keep me afloat 🙂

I hear you 😉 But the poems written just spontaneously in a surprising short time are the poems that just flow out of the heart. When we work over it we mostly get stuck because we start writing with the brain…

That applies to everything I write, they are my spontaneous response to the things which I observe around me. I am too lazy to plan a long article or poem, but I do have plans to publish a novel before I finish my PhD 😉

Wow, thank you 😀 But also I just write what I feel… it seems to connect and that’s all it needs and what we want, right? 😉

When people say, “You don’t know what I have been through. Your life is easy”, I pity them. To conclude that theirs is the worst fate must be terrible. What will they do when they have to face even worse things?
Well said. Counting the blessings are more important. 🙂

I have always believed that it is all about the mindset. The way you train your mind is the most vital aspect of life. Mind is like the steering of a car. A lot of things go on in the car’s mechanics; the fuel injection, the flow of engine oil etc. But you do not observe these things while driving, you just control the steering. Just control the mind, everything else will fall in place. Thanks a lot for stopping by 🙂 🙂
